Mervyn Goode is something of a national treasure! For thirty-eight years he has devoted himself exclusively to landscape painting – resolutely forswearing artistic tastes and fashion, he has chosen to paint the landscape he loves in the way that he wishes. A gentle, courteous man, friendly and approachable, he defends his beliefs with steely integrity. A traditional painter with appealing lyricism, he takes one on a nature walk through sheep filled meadows, up muddy tracks and into snowy valleys. He is able to create the meditative silence of a still winter’s day.

We are delighted to welcome Mervyn back for his ninth Exhibition with us.
